MHSF Answers

Three things to know.

01

Ask the county about payment plans

The Wayne County Treasurer may have payment plans or other help. Ask what you qualify for and what you would need to pay.

02

Start a Stay Review

A Stay Review means MHSF looks at ways you may keep owning the home or keep living there. Tell MHSF what staying means for you.

03

Understand a leaseback

If ownership changes to MHSF, you may be able to rent the home from us. This is called a leaseback. It depends on the home and costs. We explain the terms before you decide.

Open a Property File

  1. Open a Property File with the property address.
  2. Choose “I want to keep the property” to start a Stay Review.
  3. Open an MHSF Review and choose how MHSF should reach you.

More MHSF Answers

Clear answers, without pressure.

01Can MHSF promise that I can stay?

No. MHSF must review the home, who lives there, and the costs before we can say what is possible.

02Should I still contact the Treasurer?

Yes. Official balances, deadlines, and payment arrangements remain with the Wayne County Treasurer.

03Does opening a Property File commit me to anything?

No. A Property File is free and does not contact the county. You share contact details only if you choose to open an MHSF Review.

County Confirmation

County Confirmation means checking the official amount and deadline with Wayne County. MHSF shows a summary of public records, not legal advice or proof of who owns a property.
